https://youtu.be/XjyXg6zZLqQ
"Madagascar vadivam senkathir veyilaal"

English meaning:

Maragatha vadivam'

In Tamil 'Pillai Thamizh' is a kind of verse wherein the poet imagines God as a child and praise Him/Her.
One Great Poet by name Thagazi KooTHar, a devotee of Lord Murugan of the famous place called Thiruchendhur in Tamilnadu, wrote  Pillai Thamizh Songs. Following is the meaning of a particular song which begins as "maragatha vadivam Sengkathir veyilAl vaagAy vAdAthO" .  The poet who imagines Lord Murugan as a little child gives a tribute to him in his song , as follows :

"My Lord, Child Muruga ! Your body is so nice, shining like Emerald, and it is very cool. But you are playing in this hot sun. Will not your cool, emerald-like shining body get affected by the hot sun's rays? Your face is so cool and beautiful, like the full moon itself.  Shall I sprinkle over your face, the water in which the roots of Citronella are sunk,  so that the cool face of yours get much more cooled ?  The Six Girls of Saravana Tank, (where you were born), who are treated as your mothers, wouldn't feel like leaving the place without seeing the Six beautiful forms taken by you. Are they not the Blessed ones to embrace your revered beautiful forms of you as six children? When
you run here and there with your beautiful neck chain adorned with bells, your ear rings and bracelet over your hip, everything chime so sweet and rhythmic. Your Six mothers run behind you , longing to feed you milk with their breasts. Won't they search for you?  You are so beautiful  like a 'just blossomed' Lotus.  Even those who are rich in money and knowledge fall at your feet and revere you, praise you and pray for their well-being.  You are the Lord dwelling at the long Saravana Tank. You are the Lord whom the Great Sweet Language TAMIL praise and pamper.  You are the Lord whom, the revered Vedas praise as Sendhil VElan  (Sendhil VElan means 'The Lord who is Red and bright , holding the splendid Spear in hand).
I praise you and pamper you my Child. You please go to sleep soon !  Hearing my song you please go to sleep soon my dear !"
